Teresa Knear Solorzano

Teresa has been a dedicated member of the SIU Soccer community for many years, with a lifelong passion for the sport. She is a licensed referee and assignor with USSF, IHSAA, and KHSAA, and has served as the District Referee Administrator (DRA) for District 9 since 2012. Teresa also holds a Coach’s “E” license and has been involved in soccer since the early days of Floyd County Youth Soccer in the 1970s. With over 30 years of experience as a licensed referee and assignor, she brings deep knowledge and expertise to every program she oversees.

As SIU’s Director of Referees, Teresa enjoys mentoring new referees, watching them develop, and witnessing players grow into skilled, passionate soccer athletes. Her dedication to both referees and players has been a cornerstone of SIU’s continued success on and off the field.
