Referees at Southern Indiana United
Referees are an essential part of the game. They ensure fair play, protect player safety, and help create a positive soccer experience for everyone on the field. At Southern Indiana United, we value our referees just as much as our players, coaches, and families—because without them, the game can’t happen.
Referee Feedback Form
We’ve added a Referee Feedback Review Form to give players, parents, and coaches a way to share constructive input. Your feedback helps us support referee development, recognize great officiating, and address any concerns in a respectful and productive way. Please use the form to let us know about your experience—both positive highlights and areas where we can improve.
Why Referees Matter
-
They ensure the game is safe, fair, and fun for all.
-
They help players learn the rules and spirit of soccer.
-
Many referees are young athletes themselves, developing confidence, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Referee Abuse Policy
Referee abuse will not be tolerated at [Club Name]. This includes verbal abuse, negative comments, harassment, and any form of disrespect toward referees during games. Our referees—many of whom are youth—deserve encouragement, patience, and respect while they develop in their role.
Violations of this policy may result in removal from games, disciplinary action, or further sanctions in line with league and state association rules.

Support Our Referees
We ask all players, coaches, and spectators to model positive behavior. Mistakes happen—it’s part of the game and part of learning. Encouragement and respect help referees grow and ensure a strong referee community for the future of our club.
